This page is for questions about the guide itself: the figures we publish, a listing that needs correcting, or a contractor asking to be included. If you want quotes for work on your own house, the request form on the main page reaches the contractors directly and is the faster route.
Say which page and which figure, and we will recheck it against the source and correct or explain it. Every level and cost figure on this site is computed from the Pennsylvania DEP datasets on the state open data portal, so a disagreement can usually be settled by going back to the record.
Listings are compiled from public sources and are free. We do not charge for inclusion, for position in the list, or for removing a competitor. If your details are out of date or your certification status has changed, tell us and we will update it.
We do not test for radon, install systems or inspect buildings, so we cannot interpret your test result, quote for work, or advise on a specific house. For that you need a DEP certified contractor, and the list of York County firms is the place to start.
Requests we cannot act on
Two kinds of message come up often enough to answer here. We do not remove accurate information about a business because the business would prefer it were not public, and we do not add promotional copy to a listing. Listings describe what a firm does, drawn from public sources, and corrections are for facts that are wrong rather than facts that are unflattering.
We also cannot pass a message to a contractor on your behalf. The request form on the main page goes straight to the firms serving your ZIP code, which is faster than a relay through us.
